“A first print
Very early on, I broke free from what I had learned, at the risk of disappointing those who had trained me, guided me, encouraged me, determined me, and recognized me as one of their own.
I was alone now, destitute, mute, without an alphabet, searching not for a first sign, but for a signal.
I wandered for a few years in the silence of the world before encountering a fault line; a verticality that had blocked the flow of schist along the sea beneath a morning mist. A minimalist composition. I had found my holy grail.

Yet this abrupt break revealed something else, something common throughout the stone's surface, like a thin, almost transparent skin, both elusive and nearly palpable.
The light was there, passing through.
Faced with this emergence, I had the strange feeling of encountering the beginnings of an expression and of already being confronted with the infinity of possibilities.”

“Un premier tirage.
Très tôt, je me suis affranchi de l’acquis, au risque de décevoir ceux qui m’avaient formé, guidé, encouragé, déterminé et reconnu comme un des leurs.

J’étais seul désormais, démuni, muet, sans alphabet, à la recherche, non pas d’un premier signe, mais d’un signal.
J’ai erré quelques années dans le silence du monde avant de croiser une faille ; une verticalité venue barrer le flux d’un schiste longeant la mer sous une brume matinale. Une composition minimaliste. Je tenais mon graal.
Pourtant cette rupture sèche dévoilait autre chose courant partout sur le grain de la pierre, comme une fine peau presque transparente, à la fois insaisissable et presque palpable.
La lumière était là, de passage.

Face à ce surgissement j’eus l’étrange sentiment de rencontrer les prémices d’une expression et d’être déjà confronté à l’infini des possibles.”
